- NES Student Council visits Lindley Healthcare

- The Newport Elementary Student Council sponsored a fund raiser at school to raise money to buy Christmas gifts for the some of the residents at the Lindley Nursing Home. They collected change from each classroom and students that participated received a candy cane with an angel to color. Angels were hung up to show participation outside some of the classrooms. Student Council Representatives shopped for the presents and then wrapped them. Christmas cards were also made. The total amount of money raised was $804.
