  • The Tuckerman Bulldogs dropped a 6-2 decision Tuesday afternoon to Corning in 2-3A conference play.
    The Bulldogs scored a run in the first on an RBI by Wil Hubbard, however Corning answered with three in the home half of the first inning and another in the third for a 4-1 advantage.
    Trey Thornton drove home a run in the top of the fourth inning to cut the lead to two, 4-2, before Corning put the game away with a two-run sixth for the final margin.
    Hubbard suffered the loss on the mound as he allowed six runs on six hits in six innings of work striking out five and walking one.
    Cade Niswonger, Thornton and Drake Hopkins had a hit each for Tuckerman, who will close out the home portion of their regular season schedule Thursday, April 19 at 4 p.m. as they host Harrisburg.
