For this fall, are you looking for something to do that is fun and exciting with friends and family?
Try your hand at campfire cooking in your own backyard or camping in a state park.
At Jacksonport State Park, they are planning a workshop dealing with campfire cooking Saturday, Oct. 6.
At the workshop, we demonstrate the proper way to build a good cooking fire. You and your family or friends cook delicious outdoor recipes such as Pig in a Blanket, Pizza, Cherry and Chocolate Moon Pies, Snail on a Limb and S’mores. The workshop is a great activity for kids.
The workshop begins at 11 a.m. and lasts for two hours. The fee is $5 per person. We will meet in the campground at site #1. Reservations need to be made no later than three days in advance.
For reservations or more information please contact the park interpreter at: Jacksonport State Park, 205 Avenue Street, Newport, AR, 72112, and phone: (870) 523-2143 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
