Mr. Dale Lee Howard, 69, of Conway, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012 at Greenbrier.
He was born Nov. 4, 1942 in Greenville, Miss., the son of P. M. and Helen (Morphis) Howard. Mr. Howard was a United States Navy veteran, and worked at Fort Roots as a Boiler Operator. He was an avid hunter, hunting deer, turkey, and squirrel. He enjoyed restoring older cars, and was able to repair anything. He was of the Christian faith and a Baptist. Mr. Howard was preceded in death by his father, P.M. Howard. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy T. (Galley) Howard of Conway; his mother, Helen Howard of Batesville; one son, Jimmy Howard of Gretna, La.; one daughter, Rebecca Buchholtz of Palatine, Ill.; one brother, Malcom James Howard and wife, Joyce, of Batesville; two sisters, Gale Ponder and husband, Phil, of Owasso, Okla., and Helen E. Hawkins and husband, Champ C., of Batesville; and five grandchildren, Brennan Howard, Brylin Howard, Nikolas Buchholtz, Tyler Buchholtz, and Noah Buchholtz. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Watson Cemetery.
