Harding Academy extended its league winning-streak to 26 games with a 36-14 victory over the Rose Bud Ramblers on Friday night in 2-3A conference play at Rambler Stadium.
Harding quarterback Will Francis tossed two touchdown passes and ran for another score while completing 22 passes for 276 yards. Francis' primary target Hunter Gentry hauled in seven receptions for 111 yards including a 7-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter.
Wil Rose and Trevor Smith each ran for touchdowns, while Trey Davis had a 25-yard touchdown reception and booted a 22-yard field goal for Harding (4-0, 2-0).
The Ramblers (2-2, 0-2) were held scoreless until the fourth quarter when they broke through with two quick scores. The first came on a 46-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Christian Reynolds to running back Cole Robertson with 11:06 remaining in the fourth quarter.
A little over two minutes later Rose Bud struck again when Reynolds, who completed 17-of-28 passes for 242 yards, hooked up with receiver Spencer Starkey for an 8-yard touchdown. Starkey finished with seven receptions for 66 yards, while receiver Dillon Reesnes pulled down five catches for 100 yards.
Rose Bud travels to Little Rock for a 2-3A conference battle with Episcopal Collegiate (2-3, 1-1) on Friday at 7 p.m.
