  • The sessions will begin at 9:09 a.m. and will end around 3:15 p.m. For Lions and guests who come early, there will be a free BBQ and chicken dinner the night before in the Trumann Community House, 100 Poinsett Street, at 6 p.m. hosted by the Trumann Lions Club. The 34 Lions clubs in District 7-0 have been invited by District Governor Betty Payne of Trumann to send representatives to the meeting, which will feature important updates from state-wide and national/international projects, sessions on how to improve club activities, a luncheon with entertainment, a silent auction and a presentation by International Director Dr. H. Hauser Weiler, an ophthalmologist from Kilmarnock, Va., who formerly served on the faculty of the East Virginia Medical School, and who was elected to a two-year term as an International Director at the 95th Lions International Convention in South Korea this past June. District Governor Betty Payne and First Vice District Governor Norm Moyer of Hoxie remind all Lions that even if they have not pre-registered they are most welcome and encouraged to come to this meeting, which will be not only informative but very enjoyable. Leo Club members are also invited - and can attend gratis. Lions Club International is the world's largest service club organization, with more than 1.35 million male and female members in over 46,000 clubs located in over 200 countries and regions around the world.
