Mr. James Edward Foster, Sr., 68, of Swifton, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at Jonesboro.
He was born June 29, 1944 in Walnut Ridge, the son of Amos and Wanda (Adams) Foster. He married Miss Geneva Ballard Dec. 16, Mr. Foster was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Freida Foster.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Geneva Foster of the home; two sons, James Edward Foster, Jr., and wife, Tina, of Bradford and Capt. Steven Foster and wife, Melissa, of Hopkinsville, Ken.; two daughters, Patricia Reed and husband, Billy, of Swifton, and Vickie Hembrey and husband, Mark, of Swifton; three brothers, Sam Foster and wife, Bonnie, of Paragould, Jerry Lee Foster and wife, Debbie, of Mammoth Springs, and Rickey Lynn Foster of Mammoth Springs; three sisters, Dorothy O’Neal of Glencoe, Sandra Graham and husband, Richard, of Swifton, and Vanessa Blevins of Paragould; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends visited at the funeral home Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 at Tuckerman Free Will Baptist with interment in Arnold Cemetery.
