    After a day of intensive negotiations featuring U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr and Palestinian officials came an agreement to end the hostilities on both sides of the Israel-Gaza border. The cease-fire took effect at 9 p.m. (2 p.m. EST).
