One dead, another injured in accident
- A Newport man is dead following a one vehicle accident on Hwy 17, near Diaz, Tuesday night.

According to the Arkansas State Police, Christopher Dunn, 34, was traveling South on Hwy. 17 when his truck left the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned.
Dunn was killed in the accident and his passenger 34-year-old Leah McGinnis, also of Newport, was injured and sent to Harris Hospital.
ASP states that neither were wearing a seat belt.
