The Jackson County 4-H is sponsoring a "Festival of Trees" event which began Nov. 26 and will run through Dec. 18.

Youth groups, non-profit organizations and businesses were asked to enter the event and decorate a 6'-10' artificial Christmas Tree, which are displayed at the Newport Business Resource Center.
The trees were decorated Nov. 19 and 20 and will be judged based on four categories: most comical, most traditional, most unique and best business.
Awards will be given to first, second and third place, as well as the overall best tree.
Voting by the public began Nov. 26 and continues through Dec. 18.
Judging and a reception will be held Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. with Santa dropping by at 5:30.
