  • Jacksonport man loses consciousness behind wheel

  • According to an accident report from the Newport Police Department, on Sunday, Dec. 16 at approximately 2:48 p.m., 45-year-old David A. Bundy, of Jacksonport, was traveling West on McClain St. in his pickup when he struck the side of a vehicle, parked in front of Harris Hospital, and continued West.

  • Bundy then veered off the right side of the roadway, traveled through a yard, then across Prospect St. and struck a tree.
    He was found unresponsive behind the wheel with a possible stroke.
    Bundy was transported to the Harris Hospital emergency department.
