  • Tuckerman man in custody after Sunday shooting

  • Tuckerman resident Gary D. Bradley, 54, faces charges of first degree battery after his involvement in a Sunday shooting.

  • According to Jackson County Sheriff David Lucas, on Jan. 6, at approximately 4:20 p.m., the sheriffs department received a 911 call in regards to a shooting at 9617 Hwy. 17 N. near Diaz. Officers arrived at the scene and found 43-year-old Dewayne Eddington, of Tuckerman, suffering from a single gunshot wound to the face. Eddington was air lifted to the Med in Memphis, TN. Bradley, who was identified as the shooter, was taken into custody and appeared in Newport District Court Monday afternoon where is bond was set at $25,000. He is currently being held at the Jackson County Detention Center.
