The Tuckerman Bulldogs (20-8, 11-3) split a pair of game recently beating White County Central 57-42 and falling to Cedar Ridge 79-54.
The Bulldogs notched their 20th win of the season last Tuesday defeating White County Bears on the road. Tuckerman got off to a good start outscoring the Bears 15-10 in the first quarter. The Bulldogs hit a bit of a dry spell in the second and saw their lead diminish as they went to the half trailing 24-23. Tuckerman turned things around in the second half to outscore White County Central 34-18 to coast in for the victory. Cade Niswonger led the Bulldogs in scoring with 18 while Spencer Shannon added 15. Matt Slagley scored 12 and pulled down 10 rebounds with Derek Dean grabbing 13 boards of his own. On Friday night the Bulldogs once again hit the road to take on the Cedar Ridge Timberwolves. The Timberwolves jumped out on top early to take a 42-26 lead into the half. The Bulldogs never recovered falling 79-54. Cade Niswonger once again led the scoring with 20 with Spencer Shannon adding 10. Derek Dean chipped in 10 points and 13 rebounds. Tuckerman will back in action Friday as they travel to Maynard before heading to Ridgefield Christian Tuesday night. Games begin at 5 p.m. Friday and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
