The Adult Education Department located on the campus of Arkansas State University-Newport will offer the two-part GED test nine times during the remainder of the 2013 spring semester.  

Testing dates for Spring 2013 are: January 28-29 (Monday/Tuesday) February 11-12 (Monday/Tuesday) February 25-26 (Monday/Tuesday) March 11-12 (Monday/Tuesday) March 25-26 (Monday/Tuesday) April 8-9 (Monday/Tuesday) April 22-23 (Monday/Tuesday) May 6-7 (Monday/Tuesday) May 20-21 (Monday/Tuesday) On both Monday and Tuesday testing dates, the test will begin at 8:30 a.m.  Tests will be given in the Adult Education Department in White River Hall, and students must be present for both days of testing. Candidates must pre-register and must fulfill preliminary testing requirements prior to taking the Official GED exam. Contact the Adult Education Center at (870) 512-7824 to determine eligibility. The Tests of General Educational Development (GED) are internationally recognized.  They have been designed to measure academic skills and knowledge in core content areas that are learned during the four years of high school.  When an adult passes the GED test the resulting Arkansas High School Diploma certifies that he or she has attained knowledge and skills associated with high school completion.  The GED Tests battery includes subject area tests in Language Arts, Writing, Social Studies, Science, Reading, and Mathematics.  GED tests are offered in English, Spanish, and French and are free of charge to all who take the test.
