  • Betty Payne, 79, of Searcy, formerly of Newport departed this life Friday, Feb. 8.

  • She was preceded in death by her husband; John “Red” Payne, parents; Joseph and Lillie (Lynn) Shannon, and four brothers.
    Her survivors are daughter; Gloria Howard, three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and sister; Alice Wagner of Thida.
    Funeral service are 10 a.m.Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel.
    Burial in Hunter Cemetery.
    Visitation will be 5:30-7 p.m. Monday Feb 11.
