40-year-old Cache River log jams to finally be removed from river

Cache River Nonprofit Association President and Jackson County Judge Jeff Phillips scheduled a press conference at the Jackson County Courthouse at 3 p.m. Friday to make a major announcement concerning the Cache River log jams south of Grubbs. The organization recently learned that the U.S. Corp of Engineers has granted a permit to proceed with removal of 2 of the log jams.
