  • Tuckerman students place in ASUN wiring contest

  • The Energy Control Technology program held its first annual high school electrical wiring contest on February 26 on the ASUN Marked Tree campus.

  • Participating in the contest were students from Valley View, Marked Tree, Tuckerman and West Memphis.  There were 18 contestants competing in four areas of electrical wiring.   Door prizes were donated by  vendors from the surrounding communities.  They were Irby, Johnstone Supply, Trane, Greenway Equipment, Cardinal Supply, Jonesboro Winair, Sanders Supply and Ed’s Supply.    First place was awarded to Tyler Burchfield of Tuckerman High School who received a full tuition scholarship to the ASUN Marked Tree campus.  Second place was shared by Zach McArthur of Tuckerman High School and Matt Pierce of Valley View High School.  They each received a $750.00 scholarship to the  ASUN Marked Tree campus.  Third place was awarded to Marty Holley of Tuckerman High School who received a $500 scholarship to the ASUN Marked Tree campus.
