Do you like to fish, go to movies, sew, paint, hunt or play ball? If so, there is a child that would love to hang out with YOU!
Learn more about mentoring a child/youth in need at a "Lunch and Learn" presentation on Wednesday, March 27 at Merchants and Planter's Community Room (north branch location). Big Brothers Big Sisters will provide 3 free lunches at 11 a.m., Noon and 1 p.m. for anyone interested in learning more about mentoring, what it takes to become a Big Brother or Sister and the requirements to participate. There is no obligation to become a Big if you attend. Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest and largest one-to-one mentoring organization in the US. The local BBBS chapter has over 20 kids waiting for a Big Brother or Sister to hang out with them and make them feel loved and special. If volunteering to be a mentor is something you might be interested in doing, reserve a seat and time by calling Amanda at 870-612-8888 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
