Spring is here and kids are looking for a great outdoor adventure!
Your children can enjoy spring in Arkansas by attending our Kid’s Fishing Workshop at Jacksonport State Park on Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to noon. The White River is filled with catfish, bass and crappie just waiting to be caught. At the workshop, learn about the different habitats of the fish, which bait to use, how to tie knots and bait a hook with a park interpreter. Experience the fun and excitement catching the big on while fishing on a river bank and take home a bag of goodies from the Game and Fish Commission. For the workshop, meet the interpreter at the Visitor Center. Fishing poles are available if you do not have one. The workshop fee is $5.00 per child. Participants ages 16 and up must have a valid Arkansas fishing license. Don’t let your kids miss out on a great fishing adventure at Jacksonport State Park. For more information and registration, please Contact the Park Interpreter at the Park Office at (870) 523-2143 or 205 Avenue Street, Newport, AR 72112. E-mail: Donna.firstname.lastname@example.org
