Family and friends of Jennifer Ritchie Drummond will be hosting a benefit, in Drummond's honor, April 27, 6 p.m., at the People Helping People Building in Amagon.

Drummond was diagnosed with breast cancer and has since undergone surgery to remove the tumor. She will now be going through chemo treatments in Little Rock and they would like to help her out with the cost of transportation to and from treatments and with the next surgery that is still to come. At the benefit, there will be an auction, bake sale, door prizes, spaghetti dinner and a hot dog dinner. The dinners will consist of spaghetti served with a salad, corn on the cob, garlic bread and a drink for $8 or a hot dog with chips and a drink for $4. Rock Island Band and Submerged will provide the entertainment for the event.
