"Any season that ends in the District is disappointing," said Coach Mark Hindsley. "But, we just have to look at the high spots of the season and know that we are young." Young they are as the Hounds look to start at least six Juniors next season that were starters this year as Sophomores. The Hounds were down three runs after three innings before plating four in the fourth inning to take the lead. "Then came a monstrous fifth inning," said Hindsley. Southside plated four more runs during that fifth inning to earn the lead and eventually the win. Colton Willis took the loss on the hill pitching four innings and allowing five runs on three hits while striking out seven and walking three. Gunner Bullard pitched three innings in relief allowing two runs while striking out three. Offensively, the hounds produced nine hits lead by Hayden Schulz who was 2 for 4 with two runs scored and a RBI. McCabe Cordell was 1 for 2 with a RBI and a sacrifice while Willis was 1 for 3 with a run scored, a RBI and a double.
