The Arkansas State University-Newport Continuing Education Department will offer a class entitled ‘Saving My Vegetables for Later, Part 1,’ May 30 as part of its Life-Long Learning series.
Sarah Metzger, County Extension Agent FCS/4-H will teach the class how to use a pressure cooker to can vegetables. In “Saving My Vegetables for Later, Part 2,” scheduled for June 18, Metzger will teach canning using a water bath method. Both classes are scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. The cost for each class is $10.00. To enroll in the course, contact Jan Bailey at 870-512-7813 or at email@example.com.
