  • Grady sentenced to 33 years in ADC

  • A Jackson County jury composed of five women and seven men found Christopher S. Grady, 36, of Newport, guilty of the charge of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, to-wit: Crack Cocaine.

  • According to Third Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Henry Boyce, the case was the result of a joint investigation between Federal DEA officers and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office which involved the sale of approximately a half-ounce of crack cocaine. Grady was sentenced to 33 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction and will have to serve a minimum of 15 years of that sentence as a habitual offender. During the two day trial the State of Arkansas was represented by Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney R. Robert Ratton and Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Steven G. Howard.
