ESPN and the Sun Belt Conference announced Tuesday(July 9) the league’s 2013 football media day set for July 15 will betelevised live on ESPN3.

The collaboration with ESPN3 for media day will mark the second consecutive year the Sun Belt Conference has distributed the event to a national audience. The Sun Belt Conference's Football Media Day will get underway next Monday, July 15, at 1 p.m. (CT) inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. Interviews with all eight conference head coaches and an exclusive interview with Sun Belt Commissioner Karl Benson will be featured as will interviews with future Sun Belt coaches Scott Satterfield of Appalachian State, Jeff Monken of Georgia Southern, Paul Petrino of Idaho and Doug Martin of New Mexico State. Arkansas State first-year head coach Bryan Harsin and Red Wolves' redshirt senior offensive lineman Steven Haunga are scheduled to beinterviewed. Cole Wright will host the conference's football media day event with Sun Belt Network football commentator Cole Cubelic serving as the show's analyst. The Sun Belt Conference embarks on the 2013 football season with eight members – Arkansas State, Georgia State, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, South Alabama, Texas State, Troy and Western Kentucky. UALR and UT Arlington compete as non-football members. With the 2014 season, the Sun Belt will have four new conference members as Appalachian State and Georgia Southern will be added as all-sports members. Idaho and New Mexico State start competing in 2014 as football-playing members only. Arkansas State posted a 10-3 overall record for the 2012 season, which marked the program's second consecutive 10-win campaign. The Red Wolves also claimed their second straight Sun Belt Conference Championship title with a first-place 7-1 conference ledger. A-State would go on to finish the season on an eight-game winning streak after besting nationally-ranked KentState in the 2013 Bowl.
