  • Classes are now forming for the 10-month, 43 credit-hour program that begins in August. Recent years have seen remarkable changes in the field of Diesel Technology.  Trucks of today are high-tech marvels of modern enginnering, and ASUN’s Diesel Technology program gives its students the knowledge and expertise needed to keep these trucks on the road.  Microprocessors are standard equipment on today’s vehicles, being utilized for everything from air conditioning to collision avoidance to engine and transmission controls, and effective training is essential to ensure that these vehicles are properly maintained. Arkansas State University-Newport has joined forces with leading industrial partners in a unique partnership that links 21st century technology with proven educational leadership.  The Diesel Technology Technical Certificate at ASUN is designed for students with above-average academic ability as well as technical aptitude.
