In partnership with the Arkansas Women’s Business Center, Arkansas State University-Newport will offer a “Bookkeepers’ Boot Camp” workshop in October on all three of the two-year college’s campus locations.
The three-session workshop will meet Oct. 22, 24 and 29 and is designed to teach those in attendance how to set up efficient and time-saving bookkeeping systems. Students will also learn to prepare financial statements that are crucial to the success of a business and to maintain proper records to keep businesses running smoothly. The workshop will run from 6:00-8:00 p.m. each night, and the fee is $75. Classes will be held in Walton Hall Room 118 on ASUN’s Newport campus at 7648 Victory Blvd. in Newport, in Room 213 of ASUN’s Jonesboro campus at 5504 Krueger Drive in Jonesboro, and in the CVN Lab located in the main building of ASUN’s Marked Tree Campus, located at 33500 Hwy. 63 in Marked Tree.
