A Tuckerman officer faces theft of property charges after he allegedly pawned six pistols belonging to the Arkansas Municipal Police Association.
According to an affidavit filed at the Jackson County Courthouse, Kevin Wixson, of Swifton, was appointed Range Chairman of the Arkansas Municipal Police Association in 2009 making him responsible for the care of 10 Smith and Wesson pistols. On September 24, 2013, Wixson was interviewed at his residence where he admitted to the Arkansas State Police that he had pawned six of the 10 handguns. Documents obtained by the police show that one of the guns was sold to a local pawn shop on September 13, 2011. Serial numbers prove that gun belonged to the Arkansas Municipal Police Association. Wixson was charged with theft of property. He was arrested and taken to the Jackson County Detention Center where he was later released.
