A local woman is recovering after she was stabbed and robbed of her child's Christmas present Wednesday night.
According to Lt. Patrick Weaterford, Newport Police Department, police were notified at around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night of a 28-year-old female suffering from a stab wound at a local hospital. The female told police that she was walking from her vehicle to her residence on Hout Circle when she was approached by a black male wearing dark clothing and a mask who demanded the plastic bag she was carrying, which contained a Christmas present for her child.
