She was born September 30, 1972, in Newport, Arkansas. Amy was 41 years old.
Over the last several years Amy’s bright smile and beautiful eyes had graced the Jackson County Tax Assessor’s Office where she worked. She was a member of the Church at Remmel. Amy’s greatest love and passion in life were her kiddos, Emily and Evan. She was their greatest fan and strongest advocate. Amy loved being a mother above all else.
This beautiful young woman was a treasured mother, daughter, granddaughter, niece, and friend. Amy will be sorely missed and remembered always for her sweet spirit, kind disposition, and genuine love of friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia “Patty” Looney Mathis Frantom.
Amy is survived by her children, Evan James Beard and Emily Ferrell Beard of the home; her beloved grandmother who was always her rock, Mary Lee (Whiteside) Ferrell of Newport; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a lifetime of friends.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2013 at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Lou Butterfield officiating. Interment will follow in Sandhill Cemetery.
