  • A graduate of Tuckerman High School and an Arkansas State University alumnus with past experience as a development intern with the Red Wolves Foundation, Cornwell comes to A-State after most recently serving the past eight months as the Executive Assistant to the CEO at The McLarty Companies based in Little Rock, Ark.

“Tyler brings a great deal of knowledge and passion to Arkansas State,” said Adam Haukap, Executive Director of the Red Wolves Foundation. “With his time spent with the Foundation as a student, and his experience with The McLarty Companies, Tyler will continue the momentum that has been building on campus.”

Cornwell’s one-year internship with the Red Wolves Foundation, the primary fundraising arm of Arkansas State Athletics, immediately preceded his time at The McLarty Companies.  He was a member of the 501 (c)(3) organization’s staff during its initial rebranding process, which included a name change from Red Wolf Club and the unveiling of a new logo intended to help redefine the Red Wolves Foundation and its future goals.

Working in his development role, Cornwell served as the account manager for 294 Red Wolves Foundation members, aided in the creation and implementation of its “Pack Clubs,” and was highly involved with the design and implementation of RedWolvesFoundation.com.

Additionally, Cornwell helped increase the profit margin of Arkansas State Athletics’ largest fundraising event by 29 percent over the previous year.  He assisted with ticket operations for the football and basketball programs as well.

“I am very excited to return to Arkansas State and continue work in the Red Wolves Foundation,” said Cornwell.  “As a recent graduate, I am honored to be a part of a program and administration I believe in so greatly. I am thankful for all who have supported me and to Terry Mohajir and Adam Haukap for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime. I look forward to helping grow the Red Wolves brand and serving our great fan base.”

Cornwell earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Arkansas State University in 2013.  As an intern, Cornwell was responsible for helping increase Red Wolves’ baseball season ticket sales by 24 percent over the previous year.  This accounted for the largest increase in ticket sales in the baseball program’s history.
