  • ESPN3 to Air A-State Football Season Opener

  • The Arkansas State Athletics Department announced Tuesday that ESPN has selected the Red Wolves’ season-opening football game against Montana State at Centennial Bank Stadium on Aug. 30 to be televised by ESPN3.

  • Blake Anderson’s debut-game as A-State’s head football coach is set for a 6 p.m. (CT) kickoff, when the three-time defending Sun Belt Conference champions will face Montana State of the Big Sky Conference for the fourth time in school history.
    ESPN3 is a 24/7 sports network, which offers live and replayed events.  The network is available via WatchESPN.com at no extra cost in 72 million homes and to another 21 million people on college campuses and military bases throughout the United States of America. 
    If your Internet provider offers ESPN3, you can watch the game by going to WatchESPN.com and click on the game as it appears in the list of games for the day.  Viewers can also use the WatchESPN app on their smartphone or tablet or Xbox LIVE.
    Entering the 2014 season, 43 of Arkansas State’s last 52 games have been televised.  The 2013 season saw every A-State football game televised for the first time in school history.  The Red Wolves previous school record for televised games in a season was 10 in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
    In addition to their game against Montana State, the Red Wolves have televised contests in 2014 scheduled for Sept. 6at Tennessee (SEC Network), Sept. 13 at Miami (ESPNU), Oct. 21 at Louisiana-Lafayette (ESPN2) and Nov. 20 at Texas State (ESPNU).  Arkansas State will have additional television opportunities that will be announced as they are finalized.
    Season tickets for the 2014 campaign are on sale at the A-State Ticket Office, located at the Convocation Center’s lower red entrance. The ticket office can also be contacted at 870-972-2781 and tickets may be purchased online attickets.astate.edu.
