A retirement reception for Tammie Clausen will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, in the Home Economics building on the Tuckerman campus. The event is being hosted by the Tuckerman Alumni Association.
Clausen has been with the Jackson County School District for 36 years where she has taught social studies and coached teams for both Mock Trial and History Day competitions over the years, winning several state, district and regional awards.
Clausen is a 1975 graduate of Tuckerman High School, and a 1978 graduate of Arkansas State University where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies Education.
Clausen completed her Master's Degree in 1997 and served for several years as an adjunct instructor of history at Arkansas State University in Newport.
Clausen is the daughter of the late Hollis and Effie Elliott and the wife of Bobby Clausen of Tuckerman. She is the mother of two children; Rob Clausen of Tuckerman and Kati Clausen of St. Louis, Mo.
