The Diaz Fire Department is proud to present its first ever Community Appreciation Day to be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at the Diaz Fire Department/City Hall next to the fun park, 3401 S. Main in Diaz.
This is event to better familiarize the citizens of Diaz and other surrounding communities with the men and women who serve and protect them, will be an indoor/outdoor event. Admission is free of charge.
Events include: food, bounce house for kids, live music performed by the Stormy Night Singers, fire apparatus and equipment on display from the Diaz Fire Department. The 107.9 KFIN Polar Roller will be broadcasting live and handing out free ice cream.
Weather permitting helicopter rides will be available from a private company for $25. There will be many other events and activities, as well as many other emergency organizations will be present. Bring your own chairs.
