BATESVILLE — White River Health System wants to ensure that new moms and soon-to-be moms are receiving the support they need. Childbirth Education Classes are available to expecting mothers to help prepare for the labor process.
Classes are held monthly on the second Tuesday of the month. A New Mom’s Support Group will begin this month for first-time mothers seeking insight from other moms. Classes are held the second and fourth Thursday of every month.
The next Childbirth Education Class will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 13 in WRMC’s Josephine Raye Rogers Conference Room B. The first two classes for New Mom’s Support Group will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today and Aug. 22 in WRMC’s Josephine Raye Rogers Conference Center.
Stephanie Wade, maternity nurse navigator, hosts the events and attends to answer any questions moms may have. Wade is an experienced nurse recognized for her positive attitude. She has worked at WRMC for 15 years. She began her career in surgical services before transferring to the maternity department.
Wade is well versed in expectant, laboring and post-partum care, as well as newborn care. For more information about each event, contact Wade at 870-262-2662.
