Arkansas Center for Independence (ACI) has the chance to earn bonus dollars through an 12-hour online giving event on April 6, 2017 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. presented by Arkansas Community Foundation. Last year ArkansasGives raised $4.1 million online in one day for 600 nonprofits statewide.

“Your online donation April 6 will help Arkansas Center for Independence continue our mission of providing quality support and services for adults with developmental disabilities,” said Glenda Rutledge-May, Executive Director.

During this one-day event, each donation you make to Arkansas Center for Independence at ArkansasGives.org will help ACI earn additional bonus dollars and cash prizes that will be awarded to the organizations that raise the most individual donations and most total dollars. The public will be able to give online from smartphones, tablets or personal computers by going to ArkansasGives.org, choosing “Arkansas Center for Independence” and making a credit card donation.

ArkansasGives is presented by Arkansas Community Foundation in partnership with Arkansas Nonprofit Alliance and AT&T Arkansas. Media partners include THV 11 in Little Rock, KAIT in Jonesboro, First Security Bank, 5 News Online, KSSN 96 FM, BIG 94.9 FM, The Wolf 105.1 FM, The Edge 100.3 FM, My Country 107.1 FM, iHeart Media, the Arkansas Press Association, the Arkansas Broadcast Association and Soiree Magazine.

Arkansas Community Foundation offers tools to help Arkansans protect, grow and direct their charitable dollars as they learn more about community needs. By making grants and sharing knowledge, the Community Foundation supports charitable programs that work for Arkansas and partners to create new initiatives that address the gaps. Since 1976, we've provided more than $120 million in grants and partnered with thousands of Arkansans to help them improve our neighborhoods, our towns and our entire state. Contributions to the Community Foundation, its funds and any of its affiliates are fully tax deductible.

Arkansas Center for Independence is located in the industrial district of Newport just past ASUN and Delta Manufacturing.

ACI would like to invite anyone interested to come meet the people we serve and volunteer their time.
