The WRMC Medical Complex Newport and the Arkansas Minority Health Commission are partnering to provide a Free Community Health Screening Event on September 8. The event will be inside the WRMC Medical Complex Newport located at 2200 Malcolm Avenue, and participants can drop in anytime between 11am until 2pm.
The screenings available at no charge to participants during the event include the following: cholesterol and glucose, body fat percent, heel screening bone density, blood pressure, peak flow lung testing, and posture/balance. A limited number of vitamin D tests will be available. CustomEyes Vision Care will provide a free vision screening.
“We are excited to be working with the Arkansas Minority Health Commission to bring this much needed event to the Jackson County community at no cost,” said Annie Solis, Operations Manager of the WRMC Medical Complex Newport. “I am especially grateful to all those volunteering their time to make this event possible.”
The first 100 participants will receive a free gift.
Providers and health professionals will be available to provide education on Cancer Care, Diabetes, Mammography, and Orthopaedic Care.
