The Newport School Board moved forward on the recommendation of the Superintendent Dr. Bennett to hire Coach Jon Bradley as the newest addition to administration at Newport High School. Bradley will fill the Assistant Principal position currently held by Coach Herbert Lewis. Herbert Lewis and his wife, Helen, are retiring after serving the district over three decades.

Jon Bradley is currently the Offensive Coordinator for the Newport Greyhound Football team, Head Softball Coach of the Lady Hounds, and a History teacher. The 2018 season will be his final season coaching on the Greyhound Football Staff. There is no word on replacements for his current teaching or coaching positions at this time.

“This has been a huge decision for me and my family. I love coaching and truly enjoy impacting young people’s lives. Part of my decision was based on the fact that I will be able to impact even more lives in my new role. I am humbled for the chance to serve the school I love in a new capacity,” states Bradley.
