Trails To Tuckerman Historical Society met May 7, 2018 for their monthly meeting and last meeting until September. President Tommy Young called the meeting to order. Secretary Vickie Williams read minutes of last meeting. Treasurer Sandra Brock gave financial report. Vickie Williams reported on THS student of the month Scholarship fund. Reporter Ollie Brown reminded everyone about May 19th that Trails will have tables in City Courtroom to display pictures and articles of the past anyone is welcome to display their items. A card is being passed around to sign for trails first Vice-President Eddie Nagel he is now home after suffering from a major motorcycle accident. Also Mrs. Lynn Thomas a charter member is home after suffering from a broken hip. 2nd Vice-President of archiving Debbie Brown gave status of archiving. Tommy Young gave brief recap of our mission and purpose. The student of the month yearly pancake breakfast was a huge success . Student of the year Brian Tarno was recognized Tommy Young presented award at the School award ceremony. Jerry Eagan was remembered he will be missed he had a gift and antique shop in the trails building. Everyone was invited to attend poll worker retirement recognition ceremony at the Village Mall May 11, 2018 for trails charter member Mrs. Eva Young she was a poll worker for 67 years the most years anyone in Arkansas. She is the mother of Tommy Young Congratulations Mrs. Eva we are very proud of you. After our meeting a catered meal of Bar-b-q was served James Young gave thanks for the meal. Tuckerman Hometown Days is 18-19 of May. Hope you will come visit Trails display the 19th. The next meeting will be Monday after Labor Day September 10,2018.
