Everett King announces he will be seeking re-election for Mayor subject to Democratic primary for the City of Tuckerman.
"I promised you to have good water and we have had only four calls on our water in the last three months. We have got a way to go but our water is better and is getting better.
This year is the first time in five years that the City didn't have to borrow money to pay our bills. We have paid off over $100,000 in notes and we have a surplus of $34,000.
The City did $70,000 in street work this year. The first in six years and it's all paid for.
We have done over three miles in ditch work on our streets and more to do.
The City has cleaned up our town again so we can be proud.
We have four new businesses in town and two more looking to move here.
We are working with BB&T Tamale in enlarging this business which will bring 26-45 more jobs in town.
We have a Chamber of Commerce again and working hard. Nice to see our flags flying again.
We started working on the food pantry in January and opened in March. To date, we have fed over 1,000 families.
I ask you for your vote and support for Mayor.
I will try to see each of you before the May election.
Thank you, Everett King."
