Local Children’s Miracle Network national sponsors are changing children’s lives, one dollar at a time.
These organizations support Arkansas Children's Hospital, allowing the hospital to continue improving the health and well-being of children from across Arkansas and surrounding states.
Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping kids by raising funds for 170 children’s hospitals across North America. Children’s Miracle Network funds raised in Arkansas, northern Louisiana, eastern Texas and eastern Oklahoma benefit Arkansas Children's Hospital.
In their 2009 Children’s Miracle Network fundraising campaign, the following national sponsors in Newport raised more than $1,000 for the hospital:
· Kiwanis Club - Newport
· Walmart #0018
National sponsors for CMN raise money at the local level with fundraising activities led by employees and supported by members of the community. In May, Arkansas Children’s Hospital announced that almost $3 million was raised in 2009 through CMN fundraising activities.
“The grassroots fundraising efforts of our CMN national sponsor partners make a tremendous difference in the lives of the patients and families we serve,” says Jennifer Selig, CMN director for Arkansas Children's Hospital. “The associates of our CMN partner locations throughout Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma are wonderful friends who know the true meaning of miracles.”
Arkansas Children's Hospital is the state’s only pediatric medical facility and is among the busiest children’s hospitals in the country. Last year, the hospital recorded more than 298,000 patient visits from all 75 Arkansas counties, as well as patients from surrounding states and all over the country and the world.
