Olive “Tink” Harris passed away August 6, 2018
Olive “Tink” Harris, 89, of Newport departed this life Monday, August 6, 2018. She was born September 18, 1928 to Harve Benjamin and Alma Fay (Murphy) Holloway and was of the Pentecostal Belief. She loved raising kids, quilting, sewing, gardening, reading, playing rummy and hearts, working puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune and Price Is Right and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Marshall Harris and her parents, two sisters; Lola Harris and Jessie Holloway, seven brothers; Burl, Robert, Dude, Norman, Sam, Rudolf, and Joe Holloway.
Her survivors are four sons; Jimmy Van Harris (Beth) of Searcy, Billy Harris (Cathy) of Tuckerman, Marcus Harris (Dondi) of Newport, and Benjy Harris (Kimberlie) of Newport, three daughters; Pamela Fay Redd of Jacksonville, Trudy Powell (Ray) of Newark, and Rhonda Reeves (Jimmy) of Newport, two sisters; Grace Cole of Moody, Missouri, and Sonja Hughs of West Plains, fourteen grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren, one sister-in-law; Shirley Rogers, and brother-in-law; Herman Rogers.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2018 at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Dowells Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5:30-8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018.
