Mr. Rufus G. Bradley, 67, of Swifton died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010 at Batesville. He was born Nov. 26, 1942 in Newport, the son of George and Alice (Winemiller) Bradley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Edith Bradley; one son-in-law, Paul Norman; and one nephew, Jarod McElroy.
Mr. Bradley is survived by his wife, Virginia (Huskey) Bradley; one son, Nathan J. Bradley of Sherwood; three daughters, Sherri Gregson and husband, Major Mike Gregson of Jacksonville, Rhonda Rodgers and husband, Allen, of New Castle, Texas, and Lora Blevins and husband, Dewayne, of Swifton; one brother, Dwight Bradley and wife, Elwanda, of Swifton; five sisters, Joann Puckett and husband, Johnny, of Potosi, Mo., Joan McElroy and husband, Jerry, of Jacksonport, Lana Joshlin and husband, David, of Brinkley, Cora Lee Durham and husband, L.N., of Omaha, Neb., and Sandra Mann and husband, Eddie, of Horn Lake, Miss.; 12 grandchildren; two uncles; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010 at the Swifton Church of Christ with Mr. Jon Binkley and Mr. Mac Ballard officiating. Interment will be in Dowell’s Chapel Cemetery.
