Mrs. Ruth V. (Sharp) Dunn, 88, of Hot Springs Village, formerly of Tuckerman, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010.  She was born March 27, 1921 in Elgin, the daughter of Charley McKinley and Ruby Nell (Mitchell) Sharp.
She was a former caregiver to many people in Newport, and a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.  Mrs. Dunn enjoyed gardening, yard work, sewing, fishing, and she loved to dance.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Dunn; her second husband, Edward Taylor; one son, Donald Lee Dunn; one brother, Franklin “Bo” Sharp; and her parents.
Mrs. Dunn is survived by one son, Harry Dunn and wife, Judy, of Mountain Home; one daughter, Sharon Stewart and husband, Gary, of Talco, Texas; one sister, Edith Wells of Schertz, Texas; one half-sister, Mary Hanley of McCrory; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010 at Jackson’ s Newport Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Bobby Sharp and Mr. Harry Dunn officiating. Interment will be in Gracelawn Cemetery.  Visitation was Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010 from 6-9 p.m.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
