Mr. Robert Howard McDoniel, age 90, of Magness died Monday, June 22, 2009 at Magness. He was born May 5, 1919 in Magness, the son of William Edward and Bonner Belle (Magness) McDoniel.
Mr. McDoniel was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie “Nell” Gray McDoniel; his parents; his brothers, Magness McDoniel, Jim McDoniel, Ben McDoniel, and Mabern McDoniel, and one infant brother; his sisters, Julia McDoniel, Wilma McDoniel, Medrith Faye Nesbitt, and two infant sisters.
He is survived by two children, Robert Edward McDoniel of Ponce, Puerto Rico, and George Howard McDoniel of Magness; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three nephews and two nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2009 at Magness Church of Christ. Interment will be in Mac’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday, June 25, 2009 from 5-9 p.m.
