Mr. Johnny Moss, 85, of Newark died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010 at Batesville.  He was born June 3, 1924 in Newark, the son of Henry and Nora (Martin) Moss.
Mr. Moss was preceded in death by five brothers, Verge Moss, Arnon Moss, J.B. Moss, V.L. Moss, and James Moss; two sisters, Ruby Woodruff and Faye Powell; and one grandson, Kevin McDonald.
He is survived by his wife Irene (Arnold) Moss of Newark; one son, Bobby L. Moss of Newark; one daughter, Louise McDonald and husband, Jerry, of Jonesboro; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 at Jackson’s Newark Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Danny Blevins officiating.  Interment followed in Blue Springs Cemetery.  Visitation was Friday, Jan. 15, 2010 from 6-7 p.m.
