Mrs. Hazel Hall, 97, of Newport died Sunday, July 25, 2010.  She was born Dec. 22, 1912 in Independence County, the daughter of William and Ada (Brewer) Hines.
Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Henry Hall; and three sisters, Alice Hanley, Evelyn Lacy, and Agnes Johnson.
She is survived by two sons, William H. “Bill” Hall and wife, Betty, of Newark, and Jimmy A. Hall and wife, Linda, of Ruston, La.; one sister, Ruth Hubbel of Newport; one granddaughter; three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment followed in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
