Johnny Ray Taylor, 46 of Newport died Saturday, July 17, 2010.  He was born May 7, 1964, the son of John and Wanda Popejoy Taylor.
He was a welder for Delta Trailer Manufacturing in Newport.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Mears of Newport; one son, James Taylor; two brothers, Freddy Taylor of Newport and Gerald Taylor of Graves, Tenn.; one sister, Carolyn Payne; his mother, Wanda Everett of McCrory; two grandchildren, Joseph Mears and Bryson Mears; one nephew, Aaron Miller; and two nieces, Robin and Victoria Taylor. He is also survived by Dale and Mary Eaves of Newport who were his second mom and dad and many other friends and family.
His father, John Taylor, and step-father, James Everett, and a nephew, Robert Miller, Jr. preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Powell Funeral Home Chapel of Bald Knob.  Visitation will be prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Fakes Cemetery at McCrory by Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia (www.powellfuneralhome.net).
