Mrs. Virginia Baty, 56, of Amagon died Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Jonesboro.  She was born February 24, 1954 at Newport, the daughter of Orville and Ruby (Satterfield) Green.
      Mrs. Baty was a homemaker and a member of the Amagon Baptist Church.  She enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, and raising her grandchildren.
Mrs. Baty was preceded in death by her parents; one grandchild, Matthew Baty; and one brother, James Green.
She is survived by her husband, Glen Baty; one son, Glen Daniel Baty and wife Sharon of Lowell, Arkansas; two daughters, Kerry Reed and her husband Mark of Fayetteville and Savannah Baty of Newport; two brothers, David Green of Fayetteville and Herbert Green of Grubbs; three sisters, Audrey Jones of Tuckerman, Wanda Sheets of Tontitown, and Debbie Mitchell of Amagon; six grandchildren, Emerald Enos, Summer Baty, Austin Baty, Angel Baty, Sam Reed, and Kloey Reed; and two great-grandchildren, Aiden Daniel Summers and Brooklyn Baty.
Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Amagon Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Vaughn officiating.  Interment will be in Memory Garden Cemetery at Johnstown.  Visitation will be Friday, 6:00-9:00 p.m.
