Mr. Elmer Green, age 74, of Newark died Monday, June 22, 2009 at Batesville. He was born March 13, 1935 in Independence County, the son of Clyde and Annie (Jones) Green.
Mr. Green was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Geraldine Green; one brother, L.C. Green; one sister, Ethel Woodruff; one niece; and one nephew.
He is survived by one son, Terry James Green of Newark; one sister, Blanche Treadway of Newark; one grandson; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Newark. Interment followed in Blue Springs Cemetery.
