Mr. Joseph G. Ford, 69, of Tuckerman, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010 at Little Rock.  He was born March 18, 1940 in New York City, N.Y., the son of William and Catherine Ford.
Mr. Ford was a former police officer and retired truck driver.  He was a member of the Tuckerman First United Methodist Church, where he was an active member of the Walk to Emmaus.  He was a United States Marine, serving from 1958 to 1963, and was a member of the Marine Corp League and the Elks Lodge.
Mr. Ford was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Sue (Blackwood) Ford of Tuckerman; two daughters, Ann Marie Seger and husband, George, of Glendale, N.Y., and Delly Ford of Marshall, N.C.; one daughter of his heart, Amber Schuchmann and husband, Chad, of Charlotte, N.C.; two brothers, Jack Ford of Sewanee, Ga., and Jerry Ford and wife, Marion, of Staton Island, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Cait Seger, Lindsay Cox, Savannah Schuchmann, Dawson Schuchmann, and Jessica Schuchmann; one very special great-niece, Madeline McMinn; his mother-in-law, Emma Lea Blackwood of Tuckerman; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church at Tuckerman with Bro. Teddy Rhea and Rev. Bill Steele officiating.  Interment followed in Gracelawn Cemetery.  Visitation was Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010 from 6-9 p.m.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to the H.O.P.E. Unit and CCU Nurses at Little Rock McClellen Veteran’s Hospital for their loving care of Joe.
